SHAFT - H.C.V. - UR16887-X

This is the Transverse Operating Shaft for the rear Height Control Valve. As weight is added to the car a linkage to the rear suspension trailing arms causes the shaft to rotate. The eccentric central post operates an internal valve, allowing pressurized hydraulic fluid to the Rear Height Control rams, which corrects the height of the rear of the car. When overhauling the rear Height Control Valve, we recommend replacing this shaft if there is any corrosion evident on the shaft, as this will damage the seals and allow fluid to escape. We also recommend replacing the bushes at either end of the shaft (Part Number UR17828-X) and using the Prestige Parts high-ENB EPDM Seal Kit (Part Number RH2436-X).
