Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club meeting at IntroCar's HQ

   Mar 15, 2018 11:00:02 AM
RREC or Rolls-Royce Enthusiast Club (thanks to chairman Nigel Sandell!) on Saturday the 10th of March at IntroCar HQ. After the morning tea, coffee and biscuits we gave the guests the IntroCar grand tour! John Tupper (our Managing Director), Nez Mehmet (Parts Manager) and Matt Duncan (Sales Manager) each had lots to talk about with all these key enthusiasts and industry greats on site! The members were given a first hand view of how parts are arranged within the IntroCar warehouse in order to facilitate the picking process to minimise pick time and therefore order speed and accuracy. Of course, there was also a demonstration of how the integration of barcodes on all Rolls-Royce & Bentley parts products means absolutely everything is traceable. This will eventually include tracking parts within individual packages allowing us to track your items from binning location right to your front door (no matter how large your order or how many packages are sent!). The RREC members are likely aware of the number of products we manufacture and in what quantities we are purchasing stock, so it was useful to demonstrate the organisation and efficiency of handling these valuable Rolls-Royce & Bentley spares. rolls royce bentley enthusiast meeting event clubJohn followed up with a reminder on how it all came about.. with a brief history of IntroCar; from the early days of dismantling Rolls-Royce & Bentley salvageable cars back in Kingston.. to today, at our purpose built premises in Wimbledon and all the major changes which have taken place to make us an international mail order organisation. The introduction of our own brand Prestige Parts®  ensures the availability and low cost of many parts that are slowly being discontinued by Rolls-Royce & Bentley or owners find hard to find. We are extremely proud of the Prestige Parts brand and the level of research and development which now is the backbone to the business! John also got an opportunity to explain how detailed the online interactive parts catalogues (LookBooks) have grown, after years now of dedicated work building the pages. The IntroCar Lookbooks include parts catalogues for every last nut, bolt and washer for all models from 1946 through to 1980. John is now working through the 1980-2003 catalogue making all those pages interactive. These Rolls-Royce & Bentley parts catalogues show detailed images and diagrams of parts, displaying price and availability as the user hovers over the image. We now have over 2,300 diagrams ready to browse and more being built every day. Parts can be added to the basket with one click, and even 'bundles' are being introduced alongside the pages (such as this Drive Belt bundle for the Spirit, Spur and Turbo R) allowing users to purchase related products with one click. Isn't it nice to be able to buy 23 items with one click instead of 23 when you have a specific piece of work on your Arnage..? ;) rolls royce bentley enthusiast meeting event club By lunchtime everyone was enjoying sandwiches, drinks, pies and wine (the best bit?!) as they were given some additional discounts on some key products selected especially for this event. including brake fluid RR363L1-X, mineral fluid LHM1L-X, oil filter RH10003-X, oil filter CD270-X, air filter UE36200-X, air filter RH3135-X and many others. We will be doing more events like this one throughout the year for enthusiasts, clubs, associations and even open days for new and old clients or for people who want to join the IntroCar family!
