Rubber Quarter Bumpers for the Silver Shadow, Corniche and T-series models have been unavailable from the factory for many years, but they have now been re-released under the Prestige Parts brand. These bumper components have been manufactured from microcellular polyurethane (as per the original Rolls-Royce component), and are reinforced with steel inserts. However, the original inserts were prone to rust, so the Prestige Parts reinforcement plate has been fabricated from stainless steel. Original quarter bumpers tended to distort due to the effect of UV light and heat, so in the case of the Prestige Parts bumpers the thickness of the steel plate used for reinforcement has been increased by 50%.
