This set of bearings is from the engine section in the Rolls-Royce & Bentley parts catalogue for models built between 1965 to 1980.
Prestige Parts Crankshaft Bearing Sets are made exclusively for us by a major manufacturer of high-end engine components and supplier to many large car manufacturers.
Engine bearing shells are usually made either from lead indium or steel-backed tri-metal (lead, tin and copper) material, the latter generally thought to be superior. Prestige Parts bearings are tri-metal, and are of an identical composition to those currently supplied by Bentley Motors. Tri-metal bearings are suitable for use with either chrome molybdenum crankshafts (as fitted to the Silver Cloud II & S2) or those that have been hardened using nitriding processes (Silver Cloud III, S3 and later models).
Now supplied complete with thrust washers (standard size).
