INLET TAPPET - RE15169-X
This Hydraulic Tappet is a replacement for the graded tappets once supplied by Rolls-Royce Motorcars Limited. Suitable for:
- Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn & Silver Wraith
- Bentley Mk VI & R-Type
The tappet is a mechanical component that converts the rotation of the camshaft into vertical motion to open and close an inlet valve. This product is a replacement for the graded tappets once supplied by Rolls-Royce Motorcars Limited but now no longer available. They were originally supplied colour coded and varied in size from 1.18675 to 1.18825 . The engineer would order the size to suit his engine.
Prestige Parts Exhaust and Inlet Tappets are made to one size (1.190 ) to suit all engines and require grinding to suit. To avoid excess wear these tappets should only be used with in conjuction with a Prestige Parts Camshaft.
