This mounting rubber is from the body parts section in the Rolls-Royce & Bentley parts catalogues for models built between 1946 to 1955.
This rubber mount keeps the gearbox torque from twisting by keeping it firm. This mount tend to deteriorate due to the material they are made of, creating problems. There is no maintaining or repairing this mounts therefore it needs to be replace as soon as it starts to fail.
