This flex pipe is from the fuel & carburation section in the Rolls-Royce & Bentley parts catalogues for models built between 1946 to 1955.

A vital function of the fuel injection system, fuel distributors send the fuel from the fuel tank through a series of pipes to the engine. Controlled by the ECU (engine control unit), the fuel distributors have a role in ensuring that the correct fuel-air mix is delivered to the engine. The fuel is pressurised and is in constant flux, requiring the pipes to be robust and fully able to cope with such high demands. If the fuel distributors and their associated pipes become worn (as they will over time), your car will be subject to fuel leaks and inefficient fuel combustion in the engine. This could result in poor performance and higher fuel costs. It's certainly worth checking the condition of all components in the fuel injection system and replacing them as soon as they start to wear.
