This fuel level sender is from the fuel & carburation section in the Rolls-Royce & Bentley parts catalogues for models built between 1965 to 1980.

Having a faulty fuel tank sending unit may lead to an interrupted signal between your petrol tank and dash - meaning you might not be able to see how much fuel you have. The fuel tank sending unit allows you to see what your car's fuel levels are. In most modern cars, the fuel tank sending unit connects to the fuel pump. It uses a float and sensor to determine your car's fuel level (and which the fuel gauge is designed to reflect). Unfortunately, a faulty fuel sending unit may cause the fuel gauge to stick in one place, or flicker randomly on the dial. To avoid running out of fuel and/or damaging your engine, it is vital to ensure that your fuel tank sending unit is working properly.

The Prestige Parts version of this Fuel Level Transmitter has been re-designed to overcome the flaws in the original unit, which is prone to inaccuracy and large deviations in the gauge reading when cornering, climbing or descending.
