Decoke (Decarbonising) Kits for all Bentley and Rolls Royce models from 1946 to 2004

"Today, we are discussing 'decoke' sets or 'decarb' (decarbonising) sets or 'top end' gasket sets. It's basically a set of gaskets that you will need if you are going to take the cylinder heads off your car and refit them and reseal them. This one here is part number RH2379. It's the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow gasket set.

We do a full range of Decoke (Decarbonising) Sets from 1946 up to 2004. This is a V8 engine, you can see it's got the two cylinder head gaskets. These are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer specification) quality from the OEM supplier.

We have a set of uprated Valve Stem Seals included in this set. The cork rubber Rocket Cover Gaskets are included. There is an uprated version of these available also if you would prefer the alternative - just contact us for more information.

t's got the Exhaust Manifold Gaskets, Carburettor Gaskets, Inlet Manifold Gaskets, Inlet Carburettor Gaskets & Triangle Cover Gaskets.

These are the Earthing Strips for the Rocker Cover and the Bushes and these are for the EGR valve. We try to replicate exactly what is included in the Bentley kit so, for example, something that no one would ever really use is these Valve Collets. I think the only reason you would ever change these is because there are 32 on a car and there are 2 in the Bentley kit so I am guessing that they think someone is likely to lose a couple.. so you get a couple of the collets in there.

Changing the Head Gaskets over on a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is quite a big job, the hardest part about it is going to be getting the cylinder heads off because you get a lot of rust build up on the studs and if it's an old engine and it has never been done you are going to struggle to lift off those heads. Sometimes you need to get them hot, but if it is not for that, it's not a particularly daunting task, it's just a lot of stuff to change. You can't really go too wrong because it's an under head camshaft. When you have an overhead camshaft you have to worry about the timing, but that's all done with the gear, which you don't touch when you take the Cylinder Heads off. I would say it's a Specialist job just because of the the amount of hours involved and you don't want to end up dropping something down there and turning the engine over and breaking something so I would say it certainly is for a specialist.

We offer OEM Gaskets at a reduced price, which is why our kit is better than the OEM kit. All our Prestige Parts come with a three year warranty & these kits are part of that range. If you check online for your car's year range you will find the decoke (decarbonising) sets for your model. The six cylinder sets we have also, there are 3 different types of gaskets on that one. You have the early Copper Asbestos or Asbestos substitute and then the pressed Steel one for the Bentley S1.
