Air Filters for Rolls-Royce & Bentley cars from 1965 to 1980

"Hi there, welcome back! So today we are going to talk about Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow & Bentley T series Air Filters. There are a couple of different types here. This one at the front is the Air Intake Filter which cleans the air into the cabin. It sits under the grill in front of the windscreen.. the part number is UB19273. Generally, when you look through that grille you will find that these are all broken up, or just missing, so it is worth replacing on a service.

Then we have got the engine air filters. This is for the standard car with SU carburettors, just at the front of the engine bay on the front right hand corner and you can follow the air trunking down from the carburettor into this air filter housing. I think you can just change these. There is a knurled nut on that you can use so you do not even need tools for it. That one is the part number UE36200 and that is on most Silver Shadows.

On 2-door cars with the Solex carburettor you have this Air Filter which is part number UE38385 and usually this just sits on top of the engine with a cover and two air intakes down to the front of the car. So these should be changed pretty much on every service or cleaned out.
